Goal

The Senior Business Planning Analyst is responsible for providing both strategic and operational support to the Company’s P&CEO and Management Team. This role is instrumental in driving the business planning process, analyzing performance, and supporting effective decision-making. As a trusted partner, the analyst collaborates closely with all areas of the business to understand their needs and ensure planning efforts are aligned with the organization’s overall strategy. Responsibilities include overseeing the business planning cycle, converting data into actionable insights, harmonizing planning and performance monitoring across operations, and offering guidance that addresses immediate operational demands while also supporting long-term strategic goals.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Participate pro-actively in performance management activities, including continuous goal setting, continuous performance conversation and development activities to support increasing performance of the organization.
  • Ensure regular updates through reporting, presentations and line managers update meetings to ensure status reporting and information sharing.
  • Develop and coordinate country reports by leading or being a back-up for this activity.
  • Support Board preparations by creating engaging presentations and consolidate input from the organizations by leading or being a back-up for this activity.
  • Support the Quarterly Business Reviews by coordinating and consolidating business information regularly for Aramco counterparts and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Month-End closing activities by coordinating accruals with the business, ensuring accruals and cost corrections are booked by Finance accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of service rates
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by line Managers

Functional Specific Requirements

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including C-Suite.
  • 8 years + in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Experience of general mentoring of more junior colleagues (1 to 12 months)
  • Strong knowledge of business performance monitoring, KPI development, and variance analysis.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as the ability to hold presentations to management
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and dashboard building.

Advantage

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar business analysis certification.    
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I or II (preferred for strong financial planning profiles).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 (useful for planning cycle management).
  • Data analytics certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI Certification)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (for process improvement and efficiency monitoring).

 

Qualifications

General Education

  • Master's Degree preferably in Finance or Business Administration or Equivalent Level or relevant Experience (working in a planning and performance team) 
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
