General Profile

The Position


We are looking for a Quality Management Engineer specialized in Electrical and Instrumentation equipment and installations to handle Quality Supervision of Company's direct and project orders and occasionally performing Quality Management System assessments.


Duties, Responsibilities, Characteristics

 

  • Profound knowledge / subject matter expert in design, engineering and testing of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment and installations for Oil & Gas applications
  • Is recognized as a commodity expert within a strategic function or discipline
  • Capable to identify and utilize relevant International Codes & Standards related to Electrical and Instrumentation equipment and installations such as NEMA, NEC, ATEXIEC, IECEx 
  • Ensures that the applicable International and Company Codes, Standards and Specifications and their inspection and testing requirements are followed to ensure product compliance
  • Understands the quality as well as the inspection and testing aspects of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment and installations
  • Good communication and management skills ensuring good relationships with- and guidance of colleagues, administrative support staff and third-party professionals
  • Is able to analyze and elaborate complex technical challenges and deliver an adequate solution or proposal
  • Is able to develop and implement strategies, in general and within the technical discipline, that help the organization achieve set goals
  • Supports and provides feedback to the technical specialist groups in the Parent Company, responsible for maintaining Company's technical standards
  • Provides technical support during Equipment Deficiencies investigation processes with vendors
  • Performs occasionally Quality Management System Assessments
  • Prepared to follow training and education necessary to stay aligned with the job requirements
  • Candidate must be prepared and available to (re-)locate in the Netherlands
  • Candidate shall be motivated, dynamic and open for challenges. 
  • Preparedness to travel. The job requires mainly office work, but periodically more intensive travel schedule can be foreseen.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering of the related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience (preferably in a multinational environment) as a Quality Management / Design / Production Engineer
  • Having been involved in Vendor Inspection and QA/QC activities related to Oil and Gas Industry is a requirement. Candidate has e.g. experience with ITP reviews, Pre-
  • Inspection meetings, Inspection report reviews, Test Certificate reviews, Focus Assessments etc.
  • Experience in other commodities such as piping materials, valves, rotating- and pressure equipment is a plus
  • International professional certifications by well renown bodies (NEMA, NEC, ATEX, IEC, IECEx, ISO, IRCA, ISO 9001 etc.) are valuable assets
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Application and CV must be submitted in English
