Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Specialist


Job Summary: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization. 
This role requires strong payroll knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, including salary, wages, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll processing, including tax withholding, wage garnishments, and benefits deductions.
  • Audits and Reporting: Coordinate with payroll and management on payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Generate reports and analyze payroll data as needed for management and regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Systems Management: Manage payroll software and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and optimized for efficiency. Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with IT or vendors for system enhancements or upgrades.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for employees and management regarding payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information and resolution of issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on payroll-related matters.
     

Qualifications:

  • Completed MBO education preferable HBO.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and finance systems; experience with ADP Streamline, ADP IHCM2, ADP Perman and S4 Hana Cloud preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French language is an advantage.
  •  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
