The HR team in The Hague, supporting Aramco Europe’s stakeholders, is currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the team. 

 

 

Role Overview 

 

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive HR advisory and operational support to managers and employees across multiple countries. Acting as the first point of contact, you will ensure HR policies, processes, and systems are applied accurately and consistently, while providing a responsive, hands-on service throughout the employee lifecycle. 

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and support offices outside the Netherlands, requiring flexibility, cultural awareness, and a strong service mindset. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

HR Operations & Advisory 

 

  • Provide end-to-end HR support to employees and managers, ensuring alignment with company HR policies and procedures 
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, responding proactively and accurately 
  • Advise on Dutch labour law, including topics such as sick leave, parental leave, and other statutory leave entitlements, ensuring correct and compliant application 
  • Support HR services across the full employee lifecycle, often spanning multiple countries 
  • Translate new HR policies, employment laws, and country-specific requirements into practical actions 
  • Supporting Learning and development administration 

 

 

Onboarding & Employee Experience 

 

  • Run the onboarding process, collaborating with candidates, hiring managers, and internal and external stakeholders 
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programmes, ensuring a smooth and positive transition 
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and team activities where required 

HR Systems & Administration 

  • Maintain the HRIS (SuccessFactors), ensuring employee data is accurate, complete, and up to date 
  • Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and correspondence 
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and coordination 

Collaboration & Compliance 

  • Support HR activities for offices outside the Netherlands, adapting processes to local requirements 
  • Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, and employment legislation to ensure ongoing compliance 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Work closely with colleagues in a team-first environment, supporting one another to achieve shared goals 
  • Maintain a hands-on mentality—proactively stepping in wherever support is needed

 

 

Key Skills & Attributes 

 

  • Highly accurate, detail-oriented HR professional with strong administrative capabilities 
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, principles, and procedures 
  • Practical knowledge of Dutch employment legislation, particularly sick leave and parental leave processes 
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Curious and eager to learn new HR areas and employment laws and translate them into action 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with employees and managers across countries 
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working with shifting priorities 
  • Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) 
  • Minimum 4–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a multinational or multi-country environment 
  • Demonstrated experience working with Dutch labour law, including sick leave, parental leave, and statutory employee benefits 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Experience with SuccessFactors is highly advantageous 
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written) is required
