Treasury Risk Analyst
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Treasury Risk Analyst with 8+ years of experience in similar roles to join our Treasury team. This role plays a critical part in monitoring and managing AOC’s financial risk, supporting strategic decision-making through robust analysis of liquidity, FX exposures, and financing options. The ideal candidate is an independent problem solver who collaborates effectively across functions and communicates clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage AOC’s financial risks, ensuring liquidity needs are met through effective cash management and liquidity stress analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate FX risks, liquidity stress scenarios, and to support complex acquisition projects.
- Provide strategic advice to supervisors and the Treasurer on specialized financial risk topics.
- Analyze foreign exchange (FX) exposures and develop hedging strategies aligned with company treasury policies.
- Support financing analysis for complex acquisition projects, including assessments of equity, debt, and financial guarantees.
- Collaborate with legal and tax teams to ensure financing structures align with regulatory and tax frameworks.
- Monitor counterparty (bank) risks, ensuring adherence to internal limits and regulatory guidelines.
- Apply hedge accounting principles in collaboration with accounting and reporting teams to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Conduct IFRS 9-compliant risk assessments for the company’s loan portfolios.
- Collaborate with cash management analysts to ensure optimal liquidity positioning across the organization.
- Contribute to other treasury projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in treasury risk management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of FX risk analysis, liquidity modeling, financial instruments, and hedging strategies.
- In-depth understanding of IFRS 9, hedge accounting, and risk compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
- Strong strategic thinking and advisory skills, with the ability to guide senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting M&A or large-scale financing transactions.
- Familiarity with treasury systems and risk management tools.
- Background in working within multinational organizations or matrixed environments.
