Quality Management Engineer (STA/PIP)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Inspection of material purchased by Aramco Europe / Saudi Aramco, by review material and test certificates / inspection reports for compliance with purchase order requirements.
- Qualify, coordinate, direct and monitor the quality monitoring services provided by third-party contract Inspection Agencies, contractors, and their employees.
- Provide technical support to manufacturers and Saudi Aramco in matters related to Quality.
- Plan and perform the assessment of the Quality Management System of the manufacturing plants in order to verify compliance with international as well as Aramco quality standards; align with the technical department for approval recommendation.
- Responsible for the continuous evaluation of the performance of Aramco Europe / Saudi Aramco suppliers by collecting and analyzing data on the ERP System.
- Identify potential new service providers.
- Perform review of new or revised Saudi Aramco standards in his / her field of expertise, develop and implement Quality and administrative procedures.
- Provide quality solutions and inspection best practices.
- Build a network of partnership to have access to inspection solutions, inspection technologies, know how, and best practices.
- Facilitate agreement with Joint Venture Organization regarding provided services.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor or Senior Team member as and when required.
Preferred Experience
- Holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Has a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
- Engineer, with working experience in static equipment (pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers) and piping components like pipe, tube, flange, fitting etc. manufacturing and / or inspection.
- Familiar with International codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, NACE, ISO, EN, API etc.
- Possessing one or more internationally recognized certifications such as (or similar with) ISO 9001 Lead assessor, NDE Level II, Coating inspector, Welding Inspector, ASME inspector, API inspector.
- Fairly knowledgeable in other commodities, such as OCTG, valve, pump, instrumentation etc.
- Good command in MS Office, preferable familiar with SAP.
