Goal

Guide and direct the daily activities of one of the Corporate Communications Units to proactively ensure high-quality advisory services on matters related to integrated Corporate Communications in order to support effectively Aramco Overseas Company and Saudi Aramco strategic objectives and add value to the business.

General Profile

  • Manages mostly professional employees and/or Group Leaders
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within the discipline
  • Adapts unit or divisional plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from manager
  • Provides technical and motivational guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
  • Typically spends only limited, or no, time performing the work supervised
  • Is responsible for full occupation of all positions within the Corporate Communication team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide input for the development of External Relations & Partnership, Communications or Events strategies and programs to be effective within the AOC area of operations
Advise AOC Management on corporate communication related matters in order to improve reputation of Saudi Aramco and AOC
Develop annual business plans and accountability reporting
Develop communication strategy/ plan and lead implementation
Provide direction and guidance to the Corporate Communications unit and conduct Performance Management Process with direct reports
Represent the company at conferences, seminars and other professional gatherings
Provide Corporate Communication, External Relations & Partnership or Events services to AOC, Saudi Aramco, affiliates, PMT's and KSA embassies in the AOC area of operations
Review communication materials to ensure compliance with corporate identity and policies
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the of Corporate Communications Division Head

Functional Specific Responsibilities

External Relations Partnership

  • Responsible to manage all the different functions within this unit: Citizenship and donations, Government and Industrial Relations, Corporate Events, Crisis Communications and Contracts Administration
  • Maintain and manage credible and trusting relationships with a defined network of focused stakeholders of AOC interest in the relevant country from an international public policy and reputation standpoint
  • Develop a stakeholder mapping and engagement plan to identify targeting through focused marketing communications.
  • Research new stakeholders and influencers in the commercial setting and undertake market analyses and run regular e-scans.
  • Represent the company at Corpo rate Events and professional gatherings.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the External Relations Partnership Unit


Communications

  • Manage all different functions within this unit; Media Relations, Social Media, Internal Communicat ions, Publicatio ns and Digital Communicat ions.
  • Assist the Corporate Communications Division Head in building the reputation of AOC as a strategic partner of Saudi Aramco as the most competitive and innovative energy company.
  • Deal with strategy, brandingand messaging.
  • Update marketing collateral and planning activi t ies to increase brand awareness and build centered stakeholder relations.
  • Lead on AOC's corpora te communication strategy and oversee AOC pub licat ions and digital communications {Internet, Intranet, crisis communications and speech writing).
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Comm unications Unit
  • Represent the company at Professional gather ings


Events

  • Manage all different functions within this unit; Industry Trade Shows, Even ts Brand ing, Sponsorship/ External Events and Even ts Coordinator
  • Manage all areas of the event marketing communicationprocess that encompass both forward looking plans as well as ad hoc requests from In Kingdom as we ll as Out Kingdom
  • Manage and influence public perceptions associated wit h the Aramco brand though face-to-face dealing with our public by way of t rade shows, corporate sponsorshipevent s and additional events involving both internal as well as external audiences prima rily in the B2B arena.
  • Ensure close corporation of the PR events team with In- Kingdo m proponents and AOC-based teams from partnering divisions as well as senior management staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring AOC/Saudi Aramco' s high standards for event practices are met to reflect the company brand positively and proactively, and ensure smooth running of all events related to activities internally and externally

External

  • As required with non-government organizations, government bodies, PR agencies, creative agencies, market research organizations, hotels, booking agencies etc.
  • As required with exhibitors and organizers of conferences, seminars, etc.
  • As required with counterparts in Saudi Aramco, ASC and affiliates


Internal

  • Daily with Corporate Communications Division Head and other Corporate Communications personnel to discuss operations, progress, concerns, etc.
  • Regular with AOC Managing Director to discuss operational requirements, progress, concern s, etc.
  • Regular with other AOC business units
     

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media, Journalism, or related field
Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined
Minimum of 10 years of considerable experience in Public Relations, Communications or related field, including 6 years of supervisory experience
Extensive experience in Middle East operations and thorough knowledge of Saudi Aramco operations
