Goal
We are seeking an experienced Content Specialist to join the Public Affairs team of Aramco’s European subsidiary, Aramco Overseas Company (AOC). The team is responsible for corporate communication and CSR initiatives across Europe; positively positioning Aramco in the communities we operate in.
General Profile
In this role you’ll be responsible for understanding and executing communications strategies you’ll develop in collaboration with the broader Public Affairs team. Bringing creative content solutions to the table is what gets you excited.
This role is based at Aramco Europe’s head office in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Functional Specific Responsibilities
Candidates will have strong academic credentials, holding a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and approved program in the fields of communications, public affairs, journalism, writing, media, liberal arts, or related disciplines with equivalent experience.
The successful candidates will have 5+ years of experience in creative communications, either in-house or at an agency. Experience working across markets is desirable, experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy Sector is helpful.
In addition, successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Creative content creator skills, both in text and multimedia.
- Exceptionally good written communication skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Expert storyteller with good knowledge of content trends.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and or other tool for motion graphics as well as static content such as infographics, banners, presentations etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills: a natural collaborator and relationship builder who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Problem solving, solution orientated mentality.
- “Self-starter” mentality, demonstrated by continuously and proactively generating initiatives to improve work and develop innovative approaches based on feedback.
- Flexible approach to work and ready to adapt to changes in business strategy and ongoing campaigns and initiatives.
- Fluency in verbal and written English, preferably native. In addition to English, language skills in other European languages relevant to Aramco’s regional markets is desirable but not mandatory (e.g., Dutch, Polish, French, Spanish).
Overall, your expert skills will enable you to deliver on the communications priorities across a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Functional Specific Requirements
- Designing and creating quality multimedia content for a variety of platforms in line with the developed communications strategies, as well as the recording and archiving of this content.
- Developing creative content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audiences.
- Developing speeches for senior management.
- Proofreading and editing articles, speeches, presentations, social media content and other content forms.
- Coordinating content approvals from relevant stakeholders.
- Tracking content analytics and taking these statistics to pro-actively improve communications plans and content deliverables.
- Working with our content management system to publish, edit and update content.
- Serve as a brand guardian to maximize brand exposure and ensure all messaging, brand signage, and other collaterals are meeting Aramco branding guidelines.
- Align and work with key regional stakeholders, to develop best practices that build capability across the European market.
