Goal

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Projects Advisor to provide senior‑level advisory and leadership support to the Manager Corporate Services. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping, advising, and overseeing internal corporate and operational initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organisational priorities, governance standards, and strategic objectives.

This is a strategic and advisory-led PMO role, focusing on strategic support, governance, stakeholder engagement, and influence, while working with internal teams who independently manage their own projects in combination with managing complex Aramco Europe wide projects directly. You will partner closely with project and program leaders within the organization, providing structured guidance on governance, reporting, risk management, and portfolio performance to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and standards.

The role adds value through insight, structure, coordination, and sound judgement, enabling informed decision‑making across Corporate Services.

Functional Specific Requirements

Key Responsibilities

PMO Leadership & Corporate Services Portfolio Oversight
Lead the PMO capability supporting the Manager Corporate Services across Aramco Europe’s internal project portfolio. Oversee transformation programs to ensure alignment with business priorities, timelines, and governance frameworks. Manage complex projects directly, maintain portfolio-wide visibility (status, risks, dependencies, and resources), and ensure consistent application of PMO standards and delivery disciplines. Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and support delivery teams in maintaining progress. Develop and evaluate business cases for initiatives, ensuring tracking of outcomes during and post implementation.

Strategic Advisory & Senior Support
Act as a trusted advisor to the Manager Corporate Services, providing insight, challenge, and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness. Conduct analysis and research to support strategy development, planning, and senior decision-making. Translate strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, implementation plans, and governance structures. Support prioritization and sequencing of initiatives, ensuring focus on high-value outcomes, and identify opportunities for business improvement across Aramco Europe.

Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Design and embed PMO governance frameworks, including reporting cycles, escalation processes, and performance metrics. Deliver consolidated portfolio reporting (dashboards, executive briefings, and updates) and drive consistency in tools, templates, KPIs, and reporting standards across the EMEA portfolio. Ensure alignment with corporate policies and compliance requirements while continuously improving governance, processes, and internal controls.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Act as a key interface between senior leadership and internal stakeholders, including SME-led teams. Provide advisory support without direct line management, offering guidance and constructive challenge. Translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for leadership. Prepare high-quality briefings, presentations, and governance materials, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration across initiatives.

PMO Portfolio Performance & Decision Support
Support and coordinate strategic reviews, MIS reporting, and performance reviews for internal initiatives. Track progress against strategic objectives, ensuring timely escalation of risks and issues, and provide structured recommendations to improve delivery efficiency and outcomes.

Change Management & Continuous Improvement
Support delivery of organizational change initiatives across transformation and operational programs, driving adoption of structured change management practices.

Capability Building & PMO Excellence
Promote best practices in project and program management and stakeholder engagement. Provide mentoring and support to initiative leads, strengthening a high-performing PMO capability aligned to transformation goals.

General Profile

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is advantageous
  • 10+ years’ experience in PMO, program management, or transformation delivery roles
  • Experience within consulting or corporate advisory environments supporting senior leadership
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile) highly desirable
  • Exposure to EMEA-based operations or multi-country portfolios is strongly preferred
  • Experience within Oil & Gas / Energy sector is advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal English with strong strategic insight, global perspective and delivery focus
