Quality Management Engineer (Valves)

The Position

We are looking for a Quality Management Engineer (with specialty in valves) at AOC Italy is required to handle QC/QM orders and to perform QA assessments at Italian Vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Profound knowledge / subject matter expert in design & engineering of rotating equipment like compressors, pumps, turbines, and centrifuge etc.
• Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Rotating Equipment Engineering.
• Ensure that the required engineering standards and company technical assurance practices are followed
• Understands quality as well as inspection and testing aspects of rotating equipment
• Recognized as a commodity expert within a strategic function or discipline
• Manages mostly professional employees and/or business assistants, as well support and mentor mostly professional employees and/or business assistants, as well as external service providers
• Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business
• Implements strategies which optimize goal achievement within and outside the specialized area
• Is accountable for the performance and results assigned area
• Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from supervisor
• Support Technical Assessors (CSD, P & CSD, Drilling etc.) with technical expertise
• Typically spends only limited time on Group supervision and most , time on performing the work supervised

Preferred Experience

•    Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field
•    Minimum of 8 years work experience (preferably in a multinational environment) as a Quality Management Engineer
•    involved in Vendor Inspection and Quality Assurance activities related to Oil and Gas Industry. Such experience should include valve design, manufacturing process, and inspection.
•     Experience in other commodities such as piping materials and pressure equipment is a plus.
•    International Individual Certifications such as API, ASME, AWS, CSWIP, NACE, and IRCA are a plus.
