The Role

Aramco is a world leader in integrated energy and chemicals, our offices in Europe support a wide range of activities from facilitating the safe and reliable delivery of energy to customers around the globe, to pushing for breakthroughs in research and innovation.

Our research focuses on the co-optimization of fuel and engine systems, technology demonstration in collaboration with various stakeholders, and strategic transport studies across the road, aviation, and marine sectors. In addition, the Division supports Aramco's growth plans by building R&D capabilities in house as well as through close partnerships with other Aramco affiliates and external service providers globally.

The team in Paris are seeking a Senior Research Science Consultant, Primary Focus of the role:

1. Model development

2. Policy engagement

3. Economic assessment and engagement with Dhahran (SMA, FPD etc)

4. Mentoring and skills training for young engineers

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer or scientist with experience in techno-economic assessments
  • Alternatively, economists or analysts with knowledge/experience in mathematical modeling
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Interest in energy systems with focus on transport, as well as policy regulation
  • Interest and skills in mentoring young engineers

Requirements:

  • Hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Sciences
  • Have undertaken research, written reports or thesis related to the topics of interest
  • Show evidence of being able to work constructively in a team
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate with various stakeholders in policy regulation, industry and research sectors
  • Full proficiency in English, knowledge of French appreciated
