The Role

Aramco is a world leader in integrated energy and chemicals, our offices in Europe support a wide range of activities from facilitating the safe and reliable delivery of energy to customers around the globe, to pushing for breakthroughs in research and innovation.

Our research focuses on the co-optimization of fuel and engine systems, technology demonstration in collaboration with various stakeholders, and strategic transport studies across the road, aviation, and marine sectors. In addition, the Division supports Aramco's growth plans by building R&D capabilities in house as well as through close partnerships with other Aramco affiliates and external service providers globally.

The team in Paris are seeking a talented, and versatile R&D specialist to work on cutting edge research & development projects within The Transport Technologies Division of Aramco. This division conducts research and technology development in the area of transport fuels chemistry, emissions control systems and advanced internal combustion engine technologies and you will be:

Responsibilities:  

  • Performing cutting edge research & development activities on assessing technologies for producing ultra-low emission transport fuels, lubricants, and chemicals
  • Performing due diligence, business case assessment, financial modeling, cost estimates and projections
  • Identifying opportunities and technical or regulatory challenges associated with adopting new process and retro fitting the existing refinery configurations
  • Managing complex projects including partnership with leading EU and international institutions
  • Supporting ad-hoc questions related to energy transition and decarbonization strategy

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor Degree in a Science/Engineering Discipline.
  • 13 Year of professional experience including 5 years as a specialist with full responsibility
  • Managing complex projects with in a R&D environment.
  • Achieved substantial industry recognition in the area of your expertise and have published in significant technical journals and you have a history of active participation in technical society activities
